Go to the download site at http://www.smartwi.net/downloads.html and download The SmartWi loader software wich make you able to download new firmware to the SmartWi masterbox from Pc's USB port.

Simple process to load in XP :
1./ Disconnect master to the PC USB.
2./ Get the loader archive in the download section, expand it in an smartwi subdirectory
3./ Get the needed firmware archive(s) and expand it also in the same directory
4./ Connect master to the PC USB, in 5 to 10 sec, windows discover the new device, and propose his installation, disable automatic install and force your own choice.
5./ Select choose in the list, next select have disk.
6./ Point on the directory where Smartwi loader is installed, it discover the smartwi.inf file, select it.
7./ The installer propose the smartwi, acknowledge
8./ It search the smartwi.sys, reselect the previous directory, dont take care if the driver isnt Microsoft signed, now the driver is installed.

Now you can start the loader :
1./ Select and load the needed firmware in the loader
2./ Start downloading, it end in 1 or 2 sec max, popup signal it.
3./ Insert each client card in the master for the first time appairing after update.
4./ Insert your original card for 10 seconds
5./ Insert each clientcard for 5 seconds and the ATR (Answer To Reset) is transfered to the clientcards

am a new member of this forum, i tried to upgrade my smartwi (card splitter) but am having problem with installing drive,my pc it use to if connet it with usb cable ,is unknown device or is not recognizing.plea if any solution tobe solve. thanks

For canaldigital seca card chip up in the smartwi.

The manual says down, wich made problems for hours.
