Some information about SmartWi and Premiere.

The Premiere smartcard can work in two different modes: 'Ir**to mode' and 'Nagravision mode'.

Ir**to mode is mainly used by old receivers like the D-Box, the AlphaCrypt CAM and most unofficial receivers and CAM's.

All Ir**to receivers uses a unique CAMKEY to scramble the data sent from the smartcard to the receiver. When more than one receivers is used, the CAMKEY is replaced on the fly, it takes less than 100ms. With a Premiere smartcard it takes 3 seconds to set the CAMKEY, so the SmartWi is only usable, if all receivers/CAM's uses the same CAMKEY.

You can use the attached firmware + SmartWi Display, to view the CAMKEY of your different receivers and CAM's.

Nagravision is used by all newer Premiere supplied receivers. They are often with the logo 'Geeignet für Premiere'. The firmware '2.42 T=1 Premiere' is made for Nagravision receivers.

You can not mix 'Ir**to' and 'Nagra' receivers when you use SmartWi.

We have not received any details about the new N3 cards, so it is impossible to guess if we will be able to support them. Please let us know, when one of you receive one of the new N3 cards.

I'm from Belguim, we have two DVB-C providers over here IN-DI http://www.in-di.be/aansluiten/wat-heb-ik-nodig and Telenet http://telenet.be/342/0/1/nl/thuis/televisie/wat-heb-je-nodig.html.

The both use Alphacrypt cam' s and Nagravision smartcards, them recievers are originating from ADB (Advanced Digital Broadcast) http://www.adbglobal.com/.

I have tried to get SmartWi working with different firmware 's loaded even '2.42 T=1 Premiere' on one of these configurations but no luck. Do you have any suggestions or a fix, for these configuratons? Thanks in advance.

So i suppose there is a way to change/set the camkey? Because my three receiver-cards all show different camkeys...
The point is: actually smartwi is working in my config (2x Firedtv+2xAlphacrypt), BUT if I watch channels on both tuners, I often get the error "Channel Scrambled " (not always though)after a while....

Please advice!

SmartWi works fine, if you have different CAMKEY's, they are just replaced on the fly.

In a Ir**to system, a CAMKEY can be replaced in the smartcard within 100ms.

The problem is the German (Nagravision) smartcards, they have a built-in penalty on 3 seconds, every time you replace the CAMKEY. So if you work with more than one receiver, the system becomes unstable.

If your two CAM's have the same CAMKEY's, there will be no problem with two tuners working at the same time.

since 3 Weeks I use the new Nagra3 Premiere Card with a alphacrypt light modul (and Humax Icord HDTV-Receiver).

Now, I want use the Premiere Card with two more Receivers.

Here my question:

Can I use smart wi with the new Premiere Card an 3 Receivers at the same time?

Before i buy the Smart wi, I need a posible answer.

Yes you can.I use 4 Cards at the same time.

Where can I get the Software '2.42 T=1 Premiere" ? I can't see it on your download page or attached here as described.
Currently I'm using 2.41 T1 for Premiere, which works quite fine, but only the HD channels dont' work.

From the "download page", posted by leunens, following the link "Premier" you can read:

"Version 2.42 will not do EMM upgrade, so the smartcard must be upgraded in a receiver, once in a while. This will be fixed in the next version."

Is that official info? If so, is there any indication when the "next version" will appear? For me it seems like there is not so much development activity at the moment, but maybe that's a wrong impression.
It would be great if that would indeed be fixed.

Im using the 2.46 Beta11 T=1 with three Alphacrypt CAMs and a S01 Premiere card.

It works mostly perfect and is a great enhancement to the 2.42.

2.46 Beta11 T=1 doesn't work for me at all with a S02 card.
I can't notice any difference between 2.41 and 2.42 T1 either, both work quite fine for me except the HD channels. Could you please fix the problem with the HD channels in the next version ?

I would like to buy Smart Wi to use it for premiere.

To clarify the situaion and to confirm my ideas it would be my pleasuer to get an answer on the following issues:

1. I use a dbox2 and Humax Pr Fox C

Am I right that I cannot use both recivers if I use Smart Wi ?

2. If the answer for question 1 is "Yes"

Would it be better to use 2 or 3 Dboxes (Ir**to Mode) or to use 2 or 3 Humax Receiver (Nagra Mode)?

What would be the easiest solution without any difficult settings (camkey...)?

My smart Wi (8.0) works in the SD Option perfectly, but make trouble in the mode Premiere HD.

I use the 2.41t01 FW and Alphacrypt 3.18 FW, Receiver are Sony LCD DVB-C with MPeg 4 Codec!

2.46 Beta 11 T=1 doesn't work for me, with my S02 Card, either.

I have slight problems with my two alphacrypt lights. If alphacrypt light 1 is active and alphacrypt light 2 get's active, the stream of alphacrpyt light 1 stops/stutters and eventually will continue to work after some time... that may be ok, while watching, but is somehow annoying if you are recording something.
